We are Pilgrims

“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca [Weeping], They make it a spring; . . . they go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion” (Psalm 84:5-6a, 7).

Commentary on The Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed: Second Article, the Son

As Athanasius, at the cost of five exiles, all alone against what seemed to be the whole Christian world - and thus the phrase, ‘Athanasius contra mundum” - courageously insisted centuries ago, the words written in large letters on signs and barns along dusty Southern roads are true: JESUS SAVES!

Reaching Chinese Worldwide - A Review

A handbook that is as nuanced, socio-historically sensitive and practical as the very culture and people it seeks to affect, Reaching Chinese Worldwide offers principles for effective Christian witness and culturally sensitive involvement in the life of Chinese people.

The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful: A Handbook to Marriage - A Review

I was tempted to walk over and hand the disillusioned woman Wright’s book.  This weary wife had at some point been drawn to the “good” in her husband and to the promise of a shared life, but was now in the thick of “the bad,” and voiced little hope for the “beautiful” being realized in her marriage.

What Can We Learn from the Life of Emily Blatchley?
